Step away from the everyday routine and explore your creativity with our Shimpo pottery wheels. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, our open studio sessions offer the perfect chance to work independently and continue honing your pottery skills at your own pace.

During your session, you can store your piece at the studio, in a keep wet box allowing you to return for trimming at a later appointment. Firing costs are calculated prior to firing and must be paid prior to firing. When it’s time to glaze, simply book a glazing session- either choising from our 4 studio glazes orusing your own glaze/ underglaze combos.

Prior experience with pottery wheels and glazing is required.

Open to ages 16 and up.
Ages 12–16 may participate with a guardian.

Reserve your pottery wheel at Island View Studio. Each booking includes 1.5 houirsof creative time, plus an extra 30 minutes for setup and cleanup so you can make the most of your session. Please note that these sessions are self-guided and do not include instruction, although Sarah will be present for support where required.
